1. Quarterly Progress Reports
All PIs of M-CASTL-funded projects are responsible for submitting a progress report at the end of each project quarter (with the final report serving as the fourth quarter progress report). For 1st round projects starting June 2, 2008, progress reports are due September 2, 2008, December 2, 2008, and March 2, 2009. For 2nd round projects starting September 15, 2008, progress reports are due December 15, 2008, March 15, 2009, and June 15, 2009. For 3rd round projects starting September 15, 2009, progress reports are due December 15, 2009, March 15, 2010, and June 15, 2010. All progress reports should be completed using the Quarterly Progress Report Form.
2. Final Report
All PIs are required to submit a final report for each research project by the end of the project period. Final reports should give a complete description of the problem, approach, methodology, findings, conclusions, and recommendations developed in the project. They should also completely document all data gathered, analyses performed, and results achieved.
Reports must be formatted using the Report Template provided by M-CASTL that includes a front cover, technical report documentation page, and disclaimer on the inside of the front cover. Report numbers will be assigned by the Center.
3. Video Recording of Summary Project Findings
All PIs are responsible for preparing a 5-minute summary of their project findings and the application of the findings for safety and mobility. The summary will be video-recorded by M-CASTL staff and will be included in a web briefings program. Arrangements for recordings should be made with Jonathon Vivoda, Program Coordinator for M-CASTL at jviv@umich.edu by the end of the project period.
4. Copies of papers
Copies of all papers submitted to journals or conferences based on project research must be provided to M-CASTL.
5. Performance Indicators Worksheet
Information on the numbers of project-related research papers presented at academic/professional meetings, presentations, seminars, and symposia, as well as numbers of students involved in projects and a description of their role/contribution and percent effort must be recorded on the Performance Indicators Worksheet and provided to M-CASTL by the end of the project period.
All reports, papers, and forms should be sent to Amanda Dallaire, Administrative Assistant for M-CASTL at m-castl@umich.edu. Technical questions about the reporting and technology transfer requirements for research projects can be addressed to Lisa J. Molnar, Assistant Director of M-CASTL at ljmolnar@umich.edu.
