Predicated on the anamnestic information for the tick bite, on clinical diagnosis for Lyme disease (LD) and on the serological analyses effects, we divided the patients into five teams: i) LD positive diagnosis (38 patients, 31 showing the erythema migrans (EM) and Lyme positive serology; the rest of the seven with positive serology and additional clinical signs or symptoms); ii) seropositive to at least one TBP (81 individuals, LD negative analysis); iii) reported tick bite (92 individuals, seronegative to TBPs); iv) reported TBD-related symptoms (63 individuals, TBDs negative analysis); v) adverse controls (50 healthful donors)
